Chainmonsters Dev Update (Feb 4th 2022)

With great success and new additions to the team we enter February. Learn about our most important progress and everything else going forward!
Game World

Planning for our full first island has been completed and the remaining areas are now being concepted in detail. Keep in mind that the currently available area in-game is just a fraction of the total island.
UI

Our brand new Senior UI Artist has examined the current state of UI in the game and is finding new ways and opportunities to improve the game flow and user experience.
New Animations
Another huge batch of animations has been sent off to our development partner Rocksalt Interactive - these are focussing on the brand new Ultimate ability animation and VFX!

Battle Feel and Formulas
As part of a now 3 month process of creating, testing and adjusting we have implemented our brand new base stat algorithms (ATK, DEF, HP) into the game and are evaluating it's effectiveness.

This also includes some considerations for an element-based advantage system where e.g. Hydro would have let's say double damage against Pyro but this is still to be determined and does require much more testing.
