Our move to IMX.

Our move to IMX.
Yesterday evening the team revealed some much anticipated news about our move from Flow to IMX. The purpose of this post is to help explain our reasoning for moving to the community as many questions have been asked since our announcement.

Yesterday evening the team revealed some much anticipated news about our move from Flow to IMX. The purpose of this post is to help explain our reasoning for moving to the community as many questions have been asked since our announcement.

Starting off, we have always placed a strong emphasis on the idea that game play comes first and NFT mechanics come second throughout our entire Chainmonsters journey. The team's enthusiasm for games and the industry has continuously encouraged and motivated us to develop a title that is geared towards a core gaming audience as its target user base.

The fact that ImmutableX is exclusively focused on gaming, has built an ecosystem where we fit right in, and provides development tools made especially for games like ours is one of the first advantages of switching. ImmutableX provides game developers with easy-to-use tools to hasten and enhance the efficiency of game development and deployment. The fact that IMX already has tools and integrations in place, allowing us to focus solely on gameplay and game updates, significantly shortens the project's development time. From a visual and technical standpoint, this will all help with the ongoing improvements because our requirements and needs have significantly changed over time.

Furthermore, the Immutable chain is providing a native solution that enables game developers like us to directly integrate a (optional) wallet into the game, ensuring that the entire experience is seamless and accessible for gamers, with the recently unveiled Immutable Passport.

"Immutable Passport is a non-custodial wallet and authentication solution that streamlines user onboarding through passwordless sign-on and automated wallet creation. Protect and grow your community through battle-tested security, frictionless gameplay, and access to a passionate audience of gamers."

Thirdly, we're utilising Metaverse mechanics to enable players to display NFTs from other projects inside the Chainmonsters game world as part of the major housing/island gameplay update that will be available in Q2. As an Ethereum Layer 2 side-chain, Immutable gives users immediate access to a vast ecosystem of NFTs that can and will be supported in game.

Additionally due to ImmutableX's Orderbook technology, the partnership will also increase the Chainmonsters ecosystem's exposure and liquidity. As a result, its assets will be natively distributed across all ImmutableX-integrated marketplaces, such as Rarible, GameStop Marketplace, and TokenTrove, whether you access the in-game marketplace or one of the external ones. This switch does of course mean that in order to use your NFTs when the game first launches, you must migrate to IMX. The procedure is straightforward and simple to carry out. With the click of a button, the migration process will be completed without any interruptions. All currently existing NFTs on Flow will be bulk-transferred while retaining their current values, traits, and attributes. We'll soon publish a help-desk article outlining how to carry out these actions. This can be found here - https://help.chainmonsters.com/en/

We firmly believe that Chainmonsters will gain a lot from this transition. We appreciate that many community members may still have questions, so ask away in our FAQ section on the Discord server, and we'll do our best to answer them.
