Challenge
PixiuWorld, a social casino game, was approaching launch and needed a player acquisition strategy. The goal: build a Telegram Mini App that could funnel players into the main game while giving them a taste of the universe and mechanics. The game needed to feel connected to PixiuWorld's casino-like aesthetic while functioning as a standalone engagement tool — no monetization, pure marketing funnel.
Solution
Game Design: PixiuTap evolved from the TapMonsters foundation but quickly became its own experience. The core loop:
- Totems generate S.P.I.N.S over time
- Players upgrade totems to increase SPINS output
- SPINS are spent to capture Pixiu creatures
The mechanic deliberately echoed PixiuWorld's social casino feel — the capture system had slot-machine energy with polished animations and satisfying feedback. Players were earning free SPINS they could eventually use in the main game, creating a direct bridge between the two experiences.
Project Management: Beyond design, I served as the connective tissue between Spielworks' development team and the external PixiuWorld team at NativeGaming. This meant:
- Coordinating cross-game infrastructure (shared PlayFab backend)
- Ensuring universe consistency between PixiuTap and PixiuWorld
- Managing dependencies between two separate development pipelines
Timeline: 8 weeks from concept to launch.
Results
- 1,000,000+ registered players
- 8 weeks from concept to launch
- Cross-game funnel successfully drove awareness for PixiuWorld launch
- Status: PixiuTap ended December 2025 as planned; PixiuWorld is now live
